In Paul’s second letter to the Corinthians, he spends time defending his apostleship and ministry. Regardless of what people had to say about him, Paul (like Jesus) knew whose he was and who he was. He knew what God had called him to do, and he pursued it vigorously in the face of opposition. What about you? Do you know what God has called you to do? Is your confidence grounded in yourself and your own abilities or in the person and power of God at work in and through you?
Such confidence we have through Christ before God. Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God. —2 Corinthians 3:4-5
Prayer: Lord Jesus, may my words and actions reflect You as I lead in Your name. When I face opposition, strengthen me to lead as Your servant with confidence that flows from You alone. I ask in Your name, Amen.
