Fill These Hands

Fill These Hands

Look at your hands. Are they holding your phone as you read this devotional? Perhaps they are hovering over your computer keyboard, folded in prayer, or turning the pages of your Bible. Jesus’ hands touched people with mercy and healing. They gestured as He lifted loaves and fish to the Father and blessed and taught crowds. His hands trembled in agony on the cross. Later, they bore witness to doubting disciples that He had been resurrected. Beside the Sea of Galilee, they prepared breakfast for hungry, tired disciples. What will your hands do in His name today?

And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them. —Mark 10:16

Prayer: Jesus, make my hands into hands of blessing, hands that bring the love of God into the lives of everyone I touch. Let my interactions with people leave them with a sense of having been touched by You. In Your name I pray, amen.
