  • Living in the Light

    Devotionals | December 21, 2015

What is your vision of life? Who or what is your God? For whom do you live? Overarching vision provides direction, undergirds decision-making, and gives meaning to otherwise ordinary or difficult tasks. Jesus' vision undergirded His intimate relationship with His Father and resulted in unflagging obedience, as He lived in light of the kingdom of God. What difference will your vision of life make in how you live today?

  • Jesus' Reading List

    Devotionals | December 18, 2015

What's on your reading list? In a day and age when copies of Scripture were rare and difficult to come by, Jesus, even as a young man, made a point of knowing the Scripture. His life mission was grounded in God's Word, what we today call the Old Testament. This knowledge strengthened Him for opposition and prepared Him to resist temptation. How familiar are you with the Bible that Jesus knew, loved and memorized?

Servant Leadership: Serving Their Best Interests

    Blog | Luke Kuepfer | December 17, 2015

“She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” (Matthew 1:21, NIV)

  • Inspiration

    Devotionals | December 16, 2015

Who or what inspires you? Jesus found inspiration in His relationship with His Father, and He found fulfillment in living in light of His identity as God's Son. God's Word nourished and strengthened Him, and God's Spirit empowered Him. His life, lived in intimacy with the Father, inspired others to ask Him spiritual questions and to want to be like Him. What about you?

  • Blessing from Heaven

    Devotionals | December 14, 2015

Who does God use to bless you? God wants to bless us through everyday interactions with people in our communities: work and ministry colleagues, friends and family members, and brothers and sisters in Christ. Jesus modeled mutually-supportive human relationships with disciples and friends who blessed Him by their very presence. How are you being blessed by being in relationship with others? Who are you blessing through your interactions with them?

  • Are You Willing

    Devotionals | December 14, 2015

Jesus' starting point for ministry typically seems to be the needs of people. Consider His compassion in feeding the 4000 and 5000, healing the blind and lame, and answering the questions of ordinary people. Has He not called you, His follower, to do likewise? Who will you minister to at their point of need today?

  • Needing a Pat on the Back?

Affirmation. Praise. Applause. Recognition. Celebration. Oh, we do love to be acknowledged, don’t we?

Being commended for our actions means we’re on the right track – it demonstrates we are making a positive impact. It feels good. Yes. Everyone else says what we do has value, so it must be true.
