Transforming Your Attitude

Transforming Your Attitude

Have you noticed the difference a leader’s attitude makes in the lives of others? This is especially true when bad news comes, or in seasons of prolonged stress. How do we as leaders maintain our emotional health so that we can continue to support others in difficult times? Paul closes his letter to the Thessalonians with three directives that remind us to keep our focus on God in every season of leadership. Looking to Him, we will find the strength and ability to face a challenging present or an uncertain future.

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. —1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Prayer: God, we rejoice in knowing who You are and knowing that we belong to You. We rejoice in knowing that You draw near to those who call on Your name, and we give thanks for the encouragement of Your Spirit. Transform our attitudes as we turn toward You today. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.
