Searching for Answers

Questions and problems frequently come up in the course of life. Time deadlines or the impact on other people often increase the pressure we feel. As the pressure mounts, pride, fear or worry can begin to gain a foothold in our thinking. We may try to solve problems and find answers in our own strength, all the while edging God out of our thoughts. Where do you need God’s wisdom?

Show me the right path, O Lord; point out the road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you.—Psalm 25:4-5 NLT

Prayer: Lord, You know the struggles I carry and the challenges I face. In all of it, remind me to lay down my agenda, along with my pride, fear and worry. Remind me to humbly and confidently trust Your heart and seek Your wisdom and will. In Jesus’ name, amen.
