Love ‘Always’

Love ‘Always’

Paul gives multiple examples of what it looks like to live out a core value of love. The four ‘always’ of love—always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres—drive home the point that none of us can love like this in our own strength. But, praise God, God’s love transforms and empowers us. We are living examples that His love changes lives. Let God’s love pour into you and pour through you to others.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. – 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Prayer: God, only You can empower me to love others like You have loved me. Help me love like this, even when it’s hard, Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
