In Light of God

In Light of God

From a human perspective, our challenges can appear overwhelming at times. Seen in light of God’s goodness, sovereignty, and power, though, challenges can become holy ground. Scripture teaches us to enter prayer with a reverent awareness of God’s presence and character, and to bring our prayers and petitions to God, along with thanksgiving. As thanksgiving tunes our hearts to God’s worth and goodness, our hearts grow in humility and God-confidence.

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. —Philippians 4:4-6

Prayer: Jesus, teach us to approach our life and leadership challenges in light of who You are—Your goodness, love, nearness, sovereignty, and power. Let thanksgiving and worship reshape our perspectives and give us the ability to move forward in faith. In Your name we pray, amen.
