Jesus’ whole life reflects humble trust in the Father. No matter the situation or opposition—feeding a hungry crowd, dealing with the Pharisees, or facing the cross—He looked to God and trusted the Father to see Him through. Even His enemies recognized His trust in God, though they used it to mock Him. When we face opposition and pressure, we, too, can choose to humbly place our future and ourselves in the Father’s hands. Where do you need to commit yourself to God’s care and humbly, trustingly follow Him?

The call to lead like Jesus requires more than we have to give in our human strength. Jesus Himself depended upon a commitment to the Father’s will and constant communication with the Father. He performed His works through the power of the Holy Spirit. His words and actions reflected His union with God. The same applies to us. We will only be able to lead like Jesus as we maintain our relationship with Father, Son, and Spirit.
May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. —2 Corinthians 13:14
