Ignite: A Spark in Uganda

The spark is catching fire and LLJ’s conference for a younger audience is gaining momentum in the African country of Uganda.

2015 has turned into a busy year for Ignite, the course designed to help young people realize their influence and empower them to follow Jesus. At Ignite, high school students are trained to create a personal vision statement and develop their strengths and purpose, as well as to follow the model of leadership that Jesus demonstrated during his time on earth.

“Ignite is taking off in Africa,” says Jim Montgomery, LLJ’s Chief International Officer.

According to a report sent from the Nabiswa Secondary School, teachers and school leaders were so impressed by the impact of Ignite that they asked for a team to return and present the conference during each term at their facility. An overseer reported, “Ignite was a success. The students were mobilized and the grace of God was sufficient.”

Ignite conferences are consistently scheduled to take place in Uganda from March through July.
