Karen has functioned as a coach for most of her life. She just didn’t know it! She wondered why friends, acquaintances and, sometimes, strangers would want to tell their “story” to her in unusual places and circumstances and she would help them sort out their life event by asking questions.
All throughout her life, Karen has been active in the local church. Serving small and large churches as a volunteer and support and professional staff, she has learned much, experienced great joy and frustration and been blessed beyond belief. “God really did have a great idea in the local church,” Karen enthuses. She continues, “the only problem, however, is that it is made up of people!” But as God reminds her, Jesus died for people!
One of the highlights of Karen’s experience is in start-ups. She loves taking an idea and making it an active, alive and functioning entity. Some of her start-ups have included churches, a seminary, several nonprofit ministries, a welfare-to-work program for a large Catholic hospital as well as her expertise in young organizations who have needed her expertise during their stage of life. She currently serves as the Director of Special Projects for Lead Like Jesus
Karen has a BS degree in Behavioral Science and Business Administration and a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership. She has participated in a variety of training and educational endeavors in addition to formal education. She is an avid reader of a variety of genres and loves movies.
Karen is a single adult with one amazing adult son, a more than fabulous daughter-in-law and two grown granddaughters as well as a wide assortment of friends and colleagues around the country.
