  • 5 Ways to Deepen Your Integrity

    Blog | September 07, 2017

Daniel and his three friends are some of my favorite Bible characters. They modeled what it means to live a life of integrity. Several years ago, James Patterson and Peter Kim authored the book, The Day America told the Truth. They conducted a survey asking Americans what they would be willing to do for 10 million dollars and were shocked at their discovery. In this post, with a backdrop of their findings, I suggest 5 ways to deepen your integrity from the book of Daniel.

Here’s what the authors learned about integrity from their research.

I live in California. Earthquakes are common talk. We wonder when ‘the big one’ will hit.  Earthquake preparedness is a must: schools participate in earthquake drills, companies host earthquake preparedness seminars and individuals prepare earthquake survival kits. When I was a little girl, my mother had me read Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell one summer. The story covers the family life of the O’Hara family and their friends and other relationships before, during and following the American Civil War in the 1800’s. It was quite a journey but I became so entranced with the story that I re-read it 4-5 times through my teenage years. The story became an epic film starring Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh.
