  • Follow Jesus

    Devotionals | September 29, 2017

Leading like Jesus is not a philosophy or strategy that can simply be adopted and implemented at will. Leading like Jesus begins with following Jesus, and following Jesus involves having a personal relationship with Him. That relationship begins with an introduction. It grows increasingly intimate as we reorient our lives around spending time in His presence, so that we learn to recognize the sound of His voice, and follow where He leads. As our lives are influenced by Jesus, we begin to reflect Him in our leadership.

    Blog | Kim Rider | September 28, 2017

Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Snapchat, Instagram, emojis, email, text, Messenger – In this day and time, our dependency on technology is at an all-time high. There is an app for everything and it is so easy for our lives to become an open book for the world to see.  Everywhere you look someone has a face in their phone…sometimes it’s even us or our family members.  So, how much is too much?  What’s the good, the bad, and the ugly with online activity and how does it affect the way you lead your family?

    The Good

  • Laser Focus

    Devotionals | September 27, 2017

What has God given you to do? Who has God given you to serve? However you answer those questions, you can be assured that distractions will arise. The enemy does not want you to focus on what God has called you to do. He does not want God’s purpose and plan to be fulfilled, either in you, or in the lives of those around you. Whatever distractions would lure you away from fulfilling God’s call, make your aim singular: to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given you.

  • Why Knowing God Matters

    Blog | Karen McGuire | September 26, 2017

I teach a small group at my church each week. We’ve been following the current sermon series on the life of Jesus. It has been a wonderful time together as we’ve looked at the chronological life of Jesus through all four gospel accounts. Recently, our pastor took a couple of weeks to preach on other topics related to a church emphasis. I asked our group what they’d like to do during these two weeks. Several of them mentioned the names of God.

  • A New Season

    Devotionals | September 24, 2017

Seasons change; it’s a fact of nature. Likewise, life, ministry, and leadership seasons are ever-changing. God places us where He needs us for a season—whether long or short—to accomplish His purpose in and through us. In each new season, He equips and empowers us to live and serve in Jesus’ name. What new season of leadership is God calling you to? Wherever it is, whatever it is, you can trust that He is good, and follow Him with confidence.

  • Who Needs You

    Devotionals | September 22, 2017

Who needs you to lead like Jesus today? Your sphere of influence may be large or small. It doesn’t matter. What matters is your faithfulness to lead like Jesus where He has placed you. In God’s kingdom, every person matters, and every act matters. Faithfulness in small matters is of eternal significance. Faithfulness in your relationship with God is the foundation for your influence in the lives of others. Who needs you to be faithful to God?

  • Are Leaders Born or Made?

    Q&A | September 21, 2017

This debate has been going on for a long time. Some claim leaders are born with certain innate qualities that, from the get go, separate them from others. Others believe leaders are made and developed over time.

We believe leadership happens anytime we influence the thinking, behavior, or development of another person. Leadership, in essence, equals influence. Based on this definition of leadership all of us have influence, regardless of our position, education or economic status.

  • The Ultimate Expression

Who do we lift up today as examples of great leaders? Do our thoughts go beyond the current headlines, or those of the last century? Do we look for quantitative success? Lasting results? Personal character and integrity? Jesus is the ultimate expression of a serving leader. If you are looking for a leadership role model, look no further. Set your eyes on Jesus, and follow Him into this day. He will not lead you astray.
