As we formulate our vision of the future, we need to be sure that it falls within the parameters of God’s vision of the future. He wants our lives to be characterized by love for God and love for others. He foresees a day when His people will be gathered to Him, and every knee will bow before Jesus, acknowledging Him as Lord. How does the vision God has birthed in your heart align with and facilitate the fulfillment of His vision?

A radio interviewer said, “I know you teach leadership, but you talk a lot about love. What’s love got to do with it?” My answer was simple. “Everything.” Love as a core value has everything to do with everything. We continued for the next hour talking about leaders who have chosen love as their core value and the difference they make in the lives of their followers.
The life we have been given in Christ Jesus is life characterized by eternity, life lived in the eternal reality of God’s presence. Heaven awaits disciples, but eternal life is ours now. Have you opened yourself to receive this gift of relationship with the God who created life? How is it shaping your attitude and the way you approach life? How does the reality of your relationship with Him shape your vision, mission, and values? How does it shape your interactions with others?
